Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of LineSpeak, a language-practice service operated by Pera Pera. By using LineSpeak, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
LineSpeak helps learners create or import useful phrases and practise them through listening, speaking, comparison, repetition, vocabulary activities, and related tools. Some features may be labelled beta. Features, limits, availability, and pricing may change as the service develops.
2. Accounts and access
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity performed through it. Provide accurate information, use the service lawfully, and notify us through the in-app feedback channel if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Your content
You retain responsibility for text, audio, video, files, links, captions, and other content that you enter, import, create, or share. You must have the rights and permissions needed to use and publish that content. You grant LineSpeak the limited permission needed to process your content and provide the features you request.
4. Connected services and social publishing
If you choose to connect TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, or another third-party service, you authorize LineSpeak to perform only the actions you approve, such as transferring an original video to your account or checking its processing status. Your use of a connected service is also governed by that service’s terms and policies.
You remain responsible for reviewing captions, audience settings, disclosures, music and media rights, and the final publication. You may disconnect a connected service, although content already published on that service must be managed there.
5. Learning and generated content
Definitions, translations, example sentences, transcripts, scores, and feedback may contain errors. They are learning aids, not professional language, legal, medical, financial, or safety advice. Check important communication independently.
6. Third-party content
When you request real-world examples, LineSpeak may embed YouGlish content powered by YouTube. That content is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. Third-party providers control their content and availability.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use LineSpeak to infringe rights, upload unlawful or harmful material, impersonate others, distribute spam, interfere with the service, probe security, bypass limits, or publish content without the required authorization and disclosures.
8. Beta features and availability
LineSpeak may add, change, suspend, or remove features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, availability of a particular third-party integration, or any particular learning or audience-growth outcome.
9. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, LineSpeak, third parties, or connected platforms, or to address violations of these terms. You may stop using LineSpeak at any time.
10. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, LineSpeak is provided “as is” and “as available.” You are responsible for deciding whether the service and generated material are appropriate for your purposes.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above will change when a revised version is published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
